I’ve known Josephine Boland for nearly a decade. She came to one of my very first workshops back in the day, here in Galway, as a novice sketcher who was keen to learn. In the years since, she has become a passionate plein air painter, and spends lots of time capturing our beautiful countryside in oils. Now she has turned her (considerable) organisational talents to getting others involved, and has set up the Kinvara Plein Air Painting Festival. Last February she recruited me as one of the four tutors who would take part in the three-day event.
